Warranty deed

What is a Warranty deed?

A warranty deed is a type of deed that transfers property from sellers to buyers with the guarantee that the title is owned by the seller. If other claims exist that block the sale, the buyer would be compensated by the seller.

Property investors buy the buildings in their own name. As the investor matures, it may make sense to hold the building in an LLC. Warranty deeds are one method with which an investor can move the property into an LLC.
