I'm a little short on time today, so Here is the link to the Championship Parade pics. I haven't gone through and removed all the bad pics, so you'll have to excuse those.

These are a little late, but I doubt they'll ever get old! I've uploaded all my pics from Game 5 of the World Series. You can see them Here.
Here's a few to wet your appetite. (The album has 159 total images, so this is a really, really small sample)

Champions

The name of this website was come up with in part to poke fun at Philadelphians nature of making anything they can include a "ph" (such as "Phillies in Phive"), but it was largely created to write the exact opposite of this post. See, I was going to write a post called "Championship" at the end of some season and say "There's no PH in Championship...or more truthfully there's just no Championship in the PH." Who knew that the Phillies would absolutely destroy that post before any other major Philly...

Tainted? Worst Ever?

I'm about to leave for the conclusion of Game 5, so this will have to be a quick post. Peter Gammons has a report on ESPN.com calling this the worst World Series ever. He's not the only one who feels this way...a lot of people point out the mistakes by the officials, the poor hitting in clutch situations by both teams, the fielding mistakes, the weather, the Bug Selig and of course the poor TV ratings. All these things combined they say make a bad World Series. People in Philadelphia and on Philly blogs call this a...

The Good, The Bad And The Ugly

I'm actually not going to talk much about the Ugly part of last night's suspended game, because quite frankly I'm too exhausted too, and there's already been so much said by other people that it's well a well diluted topic. What I think as a fan who was there, and who will be there whenever the game resumes, is that it's pretty unfair of baseball to keep the people who pay very good money to watch their business completely in the dark at all times. The fans at the stadium are never told anything during rain delays, which I know because...

Could It Really Happen?

The following statement is as unbelievable to write as it is amazing to read. I certainly never imagined being able to write it during the season There's no PH in came about, but here it is. The Philadelphia Phillies are just one win away from being World Champions!
Not only are they only 1 win away, but the next game is at home, where the Fightins are undefeated this postseason, and will feature ace Cole Hamels as the starter...he's also undefeated. Oh, and I have tickets to be there! I have to pinch myself...

2 Down, 2 To Go

Wow, what a game...what a day! Coming off of depressing Game 2, Game 3 was a roller coaster of a ride with a wonderful finish for the home team. The only regret I have about the night is that Jamie Moyer didn't get credit for the World Series win that he absolutely deserved.
Jayson Stark of ESPN, a guy who used to be a local Philly sports guy is perhaps one of the best baseball writers out there right now, especially when the Phillies are in the national spotlight. Instead of having me recite things about...

Maddening

Going 1 and 1 on a road trip to start a best of seven series in a format of 2 - 3 - 2 is a good thing. Repeat.
There's a million words that come to mind when thinking of Game 2 of the 2008 World Series...frustrating, annoying, depressing, maddening, etc. What else would we ever expect from a Philadelphia team playing for a championship though? Often times in work I find myself saying "Nothing can be easy", and that feeling goes hand in hand with watching the home teams play.

100 With or Without You

Mostly without.
By now we all know about the supposed leader and face of the Fightins' big mouth. Last year the "team to beat" won the NL East before being swept in the divisional series by the wild card winning Rockies. This year he turned one of the most passionate fanbases into frontrunners. And in between? He said his team would win 100 games.
Well, with their Game 1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays, our hometown team just won it's 100th game of 2008. They won nearly...

World Series

Well, it's finally here. The World Series with the Phillies as a participant is less than 4 hours away, a World Series that's been 15 years in the making.
I'll get to my prediction in a bit, but first the end of another prediction. Before every season, a group of my buddies and I pick teams to get to the World Series and Super Bowl, etc. Every once in a while, we get lucky (like John picking the NY Giants to win last year's Superbowl), but mostly we realize that we're not quite as smart as we think we are. ...
