A modern classic movie was playing tonight as the Phillies were taking care of business at Shea Stadium, and I think it speaks perfectly to the 2008 Brett Myers.  The movie was Swingers, and it's story basically mirrors Myers season so far.

In case you've never seen it, the movie's main character Mike (played by John Favreau) is a comic from New York who moves to LA to try and make it big as an actor, and ends up breaking up with his long time girlfriend from back home.  The main substance of the movie is about his character trying to get over his break-up with his ex, and basically becoming a completely depressed bum from it.  Similarly, Myers spent a major part of this season trying to get over his split from the closer's role.  His change of scenery as a starter just wasn't working out for him.   In the movie, Mike's buddies try getting him back in the groove.  They're pretty much players, and they try their hardest to get him to hook up with some new ladies in an attempt...
