OK, first let me say that I agree with everyone that these last two games have had disappointing outcomes, especially after the thriller that was Tuesday night.  I agree that it's disheartening to see your bullpen seemingly repeatedly not get the job done and give up a lead, especially when you're chasing someone for a pennant and this close to it.  I also think that the Phils need at least a split with the MLB leading Cubs in this series, and that any time you throw Cole Hamels vs. Ryan Dempster (regardless of their records), that should be a game that you come away with the win.  But, before we line up to crucify Ryan Madson, let's all take some deep breaths and get a better perspective on this.

Last night, the Phils offense managed 4 runs, and had a few spots of decent situational hitting.  But they still left 15 runners on base.  That's a lot of runs hanging out there that the offense wasn't able to do their job with.  Man or Machine left 5 runners on himself, having his second 0fer in the...
